SOURCES AND VERSION

Know the source. Check the date.

Each result includes its source, verification date and any expiry date. A new publication does not silently make the previous boundaries current.

SOURCE MONITORING AND DATA VERSION

New publication. New data version.

Map data verified: 25 October 2026. During visits, the server checks sources at most once per 24 hours. Publication changes are flagged for verification; new boundaries enter the data version after review.

  1. 01 · Check the source

The ITF publication page and linked PDF, IMO ECA and MARAD sources are checked during visits at most once per 24 hours. ReCAAP must be reviewed separately. If a source is unavailable, the last successful check date is retained.

  2. 02 · Detect changes

Document URLs, content digests and dates are compared. A new document is flagged as “New publication / verification pending”.

  3. 03 · Verify requirements and boundaries

Coordinates, entry into force, application dates and extensions are checked separately. Unrecognised changes do not automatically produce definitive results.

  4. 04 · Publish the verified data version

Once verified data is published, all three zone maps use the same version and port queries use the updated requirements. The previous version is retained.
